Cleo Pinafore Dress

Confident Beginner

During this workshop you will make a Tilly and the Buttons Cleo Pinafore Dress. This is a lovely garment.
This pattern is suitable for a confident beginner sewer / anyone who is able to sew a straight stitch.
Cleo is easy to make and oh so comfortable to wear. Make it dungaree-style with buckles or as a pinafore with buttons, with mini- or knee-length hem, optional centre front split, choice of patch pockets and contrast topstitching. Wear Cleo year round, over a Breton top in the summer or with a roll neck and snuggly tights in winter. Once you try it, you’ll wonder how you lived without a dungaree dress!
This pattern suggests using a medium to heavy weight fabric, such as denim, needlecord, corduroy or canvas.  

What you will need for this workshop:
- Between 1.5-2 metres of fabric depending on the width of your fabric and the size you are wanting to make and 2 x dungaree buckles (available to buy in store).

If you are unsure what size you are, we can help you measure yourself and advise on the type of fabrics required, but please do arrive 15minutes earlier than the start of the workshop or come to the shop on another day to allow for this.

You can bring along your own fabric or purchase fabric in the shop on the day of your course. All workshop attendees will receive a 10% discount on all fabrics bought and used in the workshop.  Please also note that the workshop cost includes the cost of the pattern, which you can take home with you after the class.

To attend this workshop we would expect you to be able to do some basic sewing.  If you are unable to sew but are interested in this sewing course, please sign up to a beginner sewing course first. If no dates are available, please do get in touch to discuss. Many thanks.
