Beginner Sewing Lesson

This sewing workshop is aimed at complete beginners.  During this sewing course, you will learn to sew from scratch, get to grips with a sewing machine and progress to understanding a dressmaking pattern and making your very first pyjama bottoms.

During this workshop you will make the Tilly and the Buttons Jaimie PJ Bottoms.  This pattern is suitable for beginner sewers / anyone who is able to sew a straight stitch.
The pattern suggests using a light- to medium woven fabric, such as cotton, brushed cotton, shirting, quilting cotton, cotton lawn or double gauze.

 

What you will need for this workshop:

- This pattern suggests between 1.7m-2.5m if your fabric is 1.50cm wide depending on your size OR 2.5m if your fabric is 115cm wide for any of the sizes.

You can bring along your own fabric or purchase fabric in the shop on the day of your course. All workshop attendees will  receive a 10% discount on all fabrics bought and used in the workshop.  Please also note that the workshop cost includes the cost of the pattern, which you can take home with you after the class.

- Please bring your own packed lunch.  Tea/coffee, water & cordial will be provided throughout the day.
