In this workshop, you’ll learn how to build the design piece by piece to create your own unique cushion front. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ll take you through the process step by step, from choosing and arranging your fabrics to accurate cutting, piecing and pressing. You’ll then turn your finished patchwork into a beautiful cushion cover to take home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a relaxed, friendly workshop with plenty of time to sew, chat and enjoy the process. Please note that this workshop is suitable for those with basic sewing knowledge. You’ll need to be comfortable using a sewing machine and able to sew a simple straight seam independently. Don’t worry if you’re still fairly new to sewing - we’ll guide you through the patchwork techniques step by step. It’s a lovely introduction to patchwork if you’re new to it, or a chance to brush up your skills and play with colour if you’ve sewn before.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYou’ll learn: \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAccurate cutting and piecing,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ehow to construct a traditional log cabin block,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003epressing techniques for neat patchwork,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ehow to turn your finished panel into a cushion cover.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBy the end of the session, you’ll have a fabulous handmade cushion and the skills to make plenty more at home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat to bring:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eYou will need at least 2–3 coordinating fabrics for your project. Feel free to bring your own, or you can pick something up in store on the day.
