I love this shop. The fabrics are beautiful and I've just finished a workshop 'Learn to Sew.' Kathy ran it and took all the intimidation away from using a sewing machine and reading patterns. Not only did I walk away with a lovely cushion cover and a tailor made pair of pajama trousers, I know how to use a sewing machine and read a pattern. I had so much fun, and Kathy was endlessly patient with all our questions and it really felt like she enjoyed the workshop as much as we did! Definitely signing up for future sessions :)
Just completed the 4 week Beginner Sewing evening course at Clifton Moor. In just this short time I made a cushion cover and pyjama bottoms with the help of Kathy our teacher. Recommend this course to anyone who wants to try machine sewing for the first time or go back to sewing after a long gap.
This was a brilliant workshop! Kathy started by showing us how to use a sewing machine and gave us confidence ready to start sewing. We made a cushion cover in the first week (ducks for my grandson) and then went on to making pyjama bottoms in week 2 and 3. I’ve also made another cushion cover at home (foxes for my granddaughter). They love them!
Kathy made it a very relaxed and enjoyable experience, so much so that I’ve already booked the 4 week introduction to Dressmaking course. Can’t wait!

I purchased 2 training sessions for my daughter and granddaughter as part of their Christmas gifts. They called in to arrange these sessions and between them and the staff at Sewcialising tailor made the session to suit their exact needs. They had a great time and truly enjoyed the experience. As a complete newbie to knitting, I was a little hesitant about joining the workshop. I shouldn't of worried as I was greeted by the lovely staff. They were friendly and knowledgeable and extremely patient. I learnt the basic knit stitch and left feeling confident i could keep practicing and build on my skills. I'm already thinking of trying the crochet workshop as my next one. Thank you to all the team at sewcialising!
