We were taught by the lovely Rose, she was a patient teacher and was very calming . Had a wonderful morning !

Just completed the 4 week Beginner Sewing evening course at Clifton Moor. In just this short time I made a cushion cover and pyjama bottoms with the help of Kathy our teacher. Recommend this course to anyone who wants to try machine sewing for the first time or go back to sewing after a long gap.

This was a brilliant workshop! Kathy started by showing us how to use a sewing machine and gave us confidence ready to start sewing. We made a cushion cover in the first week (ducks for my grandson) and then went on to making pyjama bottoms in week 2 and 3. I’ve also made another cushion cover at home (foxes for my granddaughter). They love them!
Kathy made it a very relaxed and enjoyable experience, so much so that I’ve already booked the 4 week introduction to Dressmaking course. Can’t wait!

Great "learn to sew" class.
Lots of explanation about how to use a sewing machine, in a friendly and informal way. Took us through the whole process of a sewing project, and finished up with an impressive tote bag!

I recently did the 3 week begin to sew workshop at the studio in town. It was brilliant, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and the lady teaching it was so lovely and knowledgable! Will definitely book the dressmaking class next: highly recommend for anyone wanting to get into sewing!

The two hours allocated was just the right amount of time to practice what we learned. I will definitely attend a future class.

A fine, lightweight cotton stretch with a light texture. I haven’t used it yet but I think it would be good for a cool pair of summer trousers. The colour is a pleasant dark beige.

The staff were super lovely and this notepad is just what I need to make notes about my projects

This is a brilliant seam ripper. The light is powerful and helpful, and the blade is good and sharp. Since I bought it last weekend I've been using it to alter a dress, and it's been great.

Massive thanks to Rose for her very clear explanations and her patience to show the stitches for a left-handed learner! I would 100% recommend, it was a very good workshop.
