Learn to Quilt Class

Discover the joy of quilting in our Beginner Quilting Class at Sewcialising in York. In this relaxed and friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to quilt step by step in a fun and supportive setting. In this 2 week quilting class, we’ll cover all the essentials, so by the end of the sessions you’ll have all the skills and confidence to continue your quilting journey. Our beginner-friendly approach makes it easy to follow along.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to quilt step by step while creating your very own beautiful table runner or wall hanging to take home.

This workshop is best suited to those who already have a basic understanding of sewing and feel comfortable using a sewing machine. If you’re completely new, we’d recommend starting with one of our beginner sewing courses or booking a private lesson first.

At Sewcialising, we believe sewing should be social, relaxing, and fun. Our classes are small, welcoming, and designed to give you plenty of hands-on support. You won’t just learn how to quilt, you’ll enjoy the process, meet like-minded people, and leave feeling inspired to keep creating.

What to bring:
Top: 3 coordinating fat quarters (50cm x 50xm) 
Backing Fabric: 1 m
Wadding: 1 m
Binding: 1 fat quarter (50cm x 50cm)

Feel free to bring your own fabrics, or you can pick fabrics up in store. *Please do buy all necessary fabrics prior to the class starting. As a little bonus, you’ll receive 10% off any fabrics you buy for the class.
