Learn to Crochet
This class is for complete beginners who wish to learn how to crochet. Crochet is such a fun and rewarding hobby!
During this workshop you will learn:
- how to hold a crochet hook correctly
- how to make a chain stitch
- how to make a slip stitch
- how to do the double crochet stitch
- how to do the bobble stitch
You will go home with a heart shaped bobble square, which is very versatile as it can easily be duplicated to make cushion covers or a baby quilt. What’s great about the bobble stitch is that once you’ve mastered it, you can also use it to make letters & write words in your blankets! So much fun can be had with these two stitches. Also, once you have mastered one stitch, it will be much easier to learn other crochet stitches moving forward.
This crochet workshop will be over 3-3.5 hours (subject to the speed of the attendees) and will be hosted at our Clifton Moor Studio in York. All crochet hooks and yarns will be supplied for this class and tea/coffee and refreshments will be supplied.
